You can set such as OUTPUT MODE by using the UA-M10 device setting panel installed in your computer.
The device setting panel will be available for use after you’ve installed the dedicated driver.
Access the UA-M10 device setting panel as follows.

- Windows
- Open “Control Panel” and change the view to “Small icons.”
Double-click the [UA-M10] icon, and then click the device settings button.
-
- Mac OS X
- Open the system preferences, click the [UA-M10] icon, and then click the device settings button.
With the factory settings, the same sound is output at the same volume from both the
(Headphone) A jack and the
(Headphone) B/LINE OUT jack.

Choose this setting if you want to listen to headphones while sending a different signal via line out. However, the volume can be adjusted only for the
(Headphone) A jack.

- "NOTE"
- If you play back DSD data with the 4 channel (A:phones, B:line out) setting, the
B/LINE OUT jack will have no sound.
The same sound is output from both the
(Headphone) A jack and the
(Headphone) B/LINE OUT jack. However, the volume can be adjusted only for the
(Headphone) A jack.

Choose this setting if you’re using headphones with a balanced connection. The
(Headphone) A jack outputs the sound of the right channel, and the
(Headphone) B/LINE OUT jack outputs the sound of the left channel.

- "NOTE"
- You must connect a 3-pole mini-type plug (balanced type) to the
(Headphone) A jack and
(Headphone) B/LINE OUT jack. Connecting a 2-pole mini-type plug to these jacks may cause malfunctions.
This changes the 1 bit mode setting. Normally you’ll leave this turned on.
- "MEMO"
- Turn 1 bit mode off in the following cases.
- ・ If the level meter of the connection-destination moves even during times of silence.
- ・ If precise reproduction of the phase is the priority
If the Output Mode is set to “4 channel (A:phones, B:line out)” or “2 channel (A:phones, B:line out),” this setting lets you attenuate the signal of the
(Headphone) B/LINE OUT jack. Normally you will leave this set at 0 dB (no attenuation).
- "NOTE"
- If a device whose volume cannot be adjusted is connected to the
(Headphone) B/LINE OUT jack, the sound may distort, or high volume may damage your device. If headphones are connected, high volume may damage your hearing. If you connect a device of this type, use Attenuate Level to attenuate the signal.
This unit can play back DSD data of 2.8 MHz or 5.6 MHz sampling rates using the DoP standard.
- Turn 1 bit mode on for the UA-M10.
- Start a playback application that supports DSD, and set it to play back using the DoP standard.
| * | When playing DSD data of 2.8 MHz or 5.6 MHz, the SAMPLE RATE in the driver settings panel indicates 176400 Hz or 352800 Hz respectively. |
| * | 5.6 MHz DSD data is down-converted to 2.8 MHz for playback. |
